- What are the key areas in which you learned new skills/information about technology this semester?
I have learned that I can utilize technology in my teaching as well as designing assignments for the students as they can learn in a more creative way, plus it is their native language for them to use technology as an aid to their education, which makes my teaching easier. - What are the key areas in which you increased your knowledge about integrating technology into your teaching?
I love the idea of teaching through Podcasts and Screencasting as well. They were not how I gained knowledge from my teachers, but I think they are especially useful since it may not be as mundane as regular teaching. - Of all the topics we addressed this semester, which one (or more) would you still like to learn more about?
I would like to learn more of copyrights as it is very informative to both educators and the students, where they can use resources without restriction after they have learned about the proper way of acquiring information. - How would you compare or contrast what you learned this semester from the way technology was used by your teachers during your K-12 schooling?
I have never learned any of these topics and technology during my k-12 schooling years. The presentations that we had to prepare was using handouts or manila cardboards, all the basic ones. So, these are entirely new, but not so new, since I personally have picked up some PowerPoint skills as my personal interest. However, Podcasting and Screencasting are somewhat intriguing and I am considering to use them quite extensively as an aid for my music classes. - How would you describe your attitude toward technology now compared to the beginning of the semester?
I think that technology really helps a lot with building better communication between the teacher and the students and it is becoming a necessity for everyone in order to get access to education in this day and age. I am comfortable using technology and I believe it will be of a great help in my lessons and I will continue learning the ever-growing music technology.
